Hello from Mrs Kerr to all of my Room 1 friends,

This morning I was allowed to go into Elm Park School and help to make the Learning Packs for 2 more weeks. I popped into Room 1 and did the Calendar all by myself - not as much fun as when we are all in there together!! Can you see any differences in how I look at school at Level 4? There were very strict rules and I had to be slow and careful to follow them all correctly. I felt a little nervous going back at first, but when I saw our Room 1 classroom, I felt very happy to be back in there.

Olympic Fun Day at Elm Park School.

 On Wednesday we had a flag ceremony at school. Room 1 made our own Canadian flags. We drew the maple leaf ALL BY OURSELVES. Here is a photo of us holding our flags in Room 1.

After that, we paraded around on the netball courts near to the library. The WHOLE SCHOOL was there!!

We are learning about the Olympics at Elm Park School!

          Each class at school has chosen a country to learn about for the Olympics.                                     Room 1 has chosen Canada! Here we are with our flag.

A Happy Day in Room 1.

 Mrs Kerr had a very happy birthday with her Room 1 friends yesterday! We had to count the candles on the cake and there was a BIG korero about how many candles we should count. Finally it was decided by the students that I MUST be older than 6, but I could NOT possibly be older than 11 :)
