Today we had a visit from Michelle and Laura who are Peer Mediators at Elm Park School. They walk around the school at lunchtimes and students can ask them for help or support. They wear yellow vests or yellow sashes so we can easily find them. They have a clipboard and they can write down any concerns that our students have. They are from Year 5 and 6 and they have done some special training for this job. We are going to look for them when we are playing at lunchtime.

Last week we went to our school library for the first time. We learned how to use a shelf marker and how to browse and issue a book. Sometimes it can be tricky to remember to bring a library book back to school but Room 1 is AMAZING!! Everybody remembered. Here we are today choosing a new book each.
Today we have been reading our Big Books, listening to stories and writing on our whiteboards. After that, we had a little play on the playground ALL BY OURSELVES!!
