Today we had a visit from Michelle and Laura who are Peer Mediators at Elm Park School. They walk around the school at lunchtimes and students can ask them for help or support. They wear yellow vests or yellow sashes so we can easily find them. They have a clipboard and they can write down any concerns that our students have. They are from Year 5 and 6 and they have done some special training for this job. We are going to look for them when we are playing at lunchtime.
Welcome to Room 1's blog. We are a Year 1 class at Elm Park School in Pakuranga, Auckland, New Zealand. Our teacher is Mrs Kerr. We are looking forward to sharing our learning and adventures at school with you this year. Check our blog regularly to see what we have been up to. Please feel free to leave a comment as we would love to hear from you.
